#WhatIfWednesday New Take on the Nike Hyperquickness 3

design concept of nike basketball shoe

This week for #WhatIfWednesday I remodeled the Nike Hyperquickness 3. This shoe just recently released and from first look something I noticed and appreciated the new, bold look on this sneaker. However, something felt off (in my opinion). There was something about the shoe that just didn't settle with me and I stared and stared at the shoe and could not figure it out. So I called in my brother to take a look and we came to the conclusion that the shoe was too high. This 2015 model of the Hyperquickness was revamped and actually is starting to look like a "quick" shoe. But the speedy design didn't fit the shoe in our opinion. As a matter of fact, I never really understand why the Hyperquickness models have all been hightops to begin with. Lowtop shoes are generally made for a lighter, quicker experience so why is it that Nike's one shoe named for quickness is high top? Anyways, after cutting the shoe down in height, we also realized that the placement of the swoosh on the outer of the shoe was off too. So, I made the swoosh similar to that of the Nike Free Flyknit NSW where it is smaller and lets the rest of the upper be the focal point of the shoe. In this case, the focal point of the upper is the "cheese-like" perforations the display the lockdown flywire. Take a look at the original model and let me know what you think of this new take on the Nike Hyperquickness 3.

P.S.- Let's be honest, if this were a signature shoe, we would be all over it. The design isn't bad at all.
